Revised UK GDP data confirmed the UK economy spent the second half of last year in recession. More encouragingly the data continues to point to an improving backdrop, due to a strong labour market, rising incomes, and developing disinflation. April brings more positive changes: a reduction in the Ofgem price cap and a minimum wage increase.
